Since 1980

Founding of Holmes Place Wien GmbH and start of preparations for the opening of the first Holmes Place club in Vienna.

1999

Holmes Place came to Switzerland with the opening of four premium fitness clubs in Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich Jelmoli and Zürich Seepark in 1999.

2000

In December 2000, our first club in Vienna — the Vienna International Club in the 22nd district — opens its doors.

2002

After two successful years, Holmes Place expands in Vienna with a second club — this time located right in the city centre.

2009

In 2009, Holmes Place acquires two clubs from competitor Elixia — giving rise to our clubs in Hütteldorf and the Millennium City. Extensive renovation work follows to bring both clubs up to the premium Holmes Place standard.
